A Faraday House Engineer, trained as a clergyman at King College London (when he married Mary, who was also an engineer studying theology). He was ordained in 1956 and served in various parishes, at first in the Diocese of Winchester and then in the Diocese of Carlisle, where he served for 21 years as part-time Chaplain for deaf people. |
