Freewill Offering
A big Thank You to everyone who uses our Freewill envelopes, and especially to those who pay monthly by Standing Order. Of course, those of you who use envelopes will know how important it is to make this commitment and to contribute every single week of the year. In this way our Treasurer is able to budget for the church's financial year ahead. Perhaps some of you don't realise that every church (in order to stay open to the public) has to pay for its upkeep so to speak. Our quota for last year was £43,000. This goes to the Carlisle Diocese. Our Freewill Offering envelopes plus collections amount to approximately £27,000. So please, I urge you, on behalf of the Parochial Church Council, to give as much as you can possibly spare, but most importantly to make sure that your envelopes are submitted every week.
