Giving In Grace
After discussion with the PCC in the first sermon of the year Beverley shared with those present our plan to think through “Giving in Grace”. During Lent this year we are going to be thinking of how we can enrich our fellowship here at St. George’s. We will be thinking of how we can improve our personal prayer and worship together, how we can give as many opportunities as possible for friends to get together from within the church to help and encourage each other and how we can enrich and resource our community. So to begin with in five Sundays in Lent we are going to think through what 2 Corinthians Chapters 8+9 have to teach us about true riches. We are going to look at the good things God gives us and how we can respond to those gifts. We are also launching Play and Praise (see separate article) and Tea at Three. We continue to see the provision of the church building as a real resource for our community and are always looking for new ways that we can use the building during the week.
