Tour - Upper Hall

The staircase in the South Tower brings us on to a small stage and a short flight of steps leads down to the Hall itself.

The Hall is used for all manner of activities ranging from the youth group to the presentation of the Pantomime put on during February each year by the St George's Church Players. The Hall is also used by a number of community based groups for activities such as badminton and judo.

The door in the wall opposite the stage leads onto a narrow balcony giving a good view of the inside of the Church and a staircase leading down to the back of the Nave. This staircase also incorporates a 'stair lift' allowing the less mobile members of the congregation to reach the activities in the Upper Hall.

Let us now go back down the stairs in the South Tower to the Porch.
